I love the Monsoon season. We had our first storm on Thursday, and it was a good one. Lots of rain that made lots of puddles, perfect for some good puddle hopping. The road by our house turns into a river when it rains. We had lots of fun standing by the side of the road waiting for cars to drive by so we could get splashed. I know that water is full of oil and gunk from the roads, and if I were a better mom I wouldn't let my kids play in the rainwater. But how can I deny my children the pure joy of puddles after a rainstorm.

Hooray! What good puddle games and what cute kids! I'm all in favor of dirty rainwater. It's just such fun!
I think the other Ohio people think we're nuts- when it rains (at least once a week) I herd the kids outside and enjoy it.
