March Wrap Up

Sometimes, there just isn't a good story around a picture, but you want to get something out there anyway.

JW: Always having fun at home with Momma, getting some brand-new play-dough

Mr S: A new train table for all the fun with trains!
Kiwi: A trip to the American Girl Doll store with friends for Tea:
G-Man on a camp out so cold the lake was frozen. And did I mention that you could have a fire on the ice?

Running of the Leprechauns

Luann is really into running. So much so that she signed up for a cold run in March. And, to top it off, paid for the privilege! So, I get to post all about it.

Since this was a quick 5K, it really didn't take too much time. I think it took me longer to find a parking space on a street, unload the kids (plus a stroller, thankfully), walk to the race (maybe a half mile? It seemed long when the kids were tired...), and then walk back, trying to remember WHICH street I parked on. :)

So, without further ado:

The Winter that Never Ends

Winter 2013/2014 was quite the long one. These are some pictures from March 9th of us playing on a frozen lake. We enjoyed the snow, but it's time people. Let's get some spring already. I also added in G's snow sarcophagus from February; they had been talking about Egyptian hieroglyphs in History.

Wanderings On A Sunday

Sometimes, in the middle of Winter, there just isn't anything you want to do. So, you might as well take an unexpected trip to Salem. Because who doesn't want to get out of the warm house to walk on a shoreline in the cold, overcast, windy weather?

First up? Bones of a Ship. Kind of neat to see how the ship is put together.
And, Salem being a historic port, you can't forget the reason we stopped here of all places: the lighthouse.
And lastly, our lovely family seeing what the best kind of ship there is: the Friendship (of Salem):
